Lucchinelli and Roberts Jr. will be honoured as GP Legends

Two champions from two different eras and generations will be honored this year with the title of MotoGP Legends.

Both World Champion with Suzuki in the 500c class, Marco Lucchinelli in 1981 and Kenny Roberts Jr. in 2000. They both came from a very different school of riding. Lucchinelli or “Lucky” began pretty late for the today standard while Roberts Jr. started to ride very early thanks to his father, the 3 times WC Kenny Roberts Sr.

Lucchinelli embodied the old romantic side of racing. Often pictured with a cigarette, far from the athlete regimes of today’s riders. The prices will be assigned in Mugello for Lucchinelli and in Austin for Roberts Jr.
