The King is back. This is the message that Suzuki sent to its rivals out there. It’s a big claim but looking back I have to say that they never underdeliver.
As you might imagine the big Gixxer is packed with new MotoGP technology like ABS, Ride-by-Wire, wheelie control and 10 level of traction control. This makes it easy to use in almost any condition.
The engine is a completely new 999cc which develops 202 HP pulling the needle to 14,500 rpm which is where the red line is. Suzuki says that they reached peak performance without compromise the reliability. The GSXR has also a new variable valve timing control which allows it to run smooth while squeezing more power in the top range.
The Suzuki GSX-R1000 will be available in Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mira Red, and Metallic Mat Black No. 2. The R-Version will be in Metallic Triton Blue or Glass Sparkle Black.
The braking system is made by Brembo, two 320mm discs in the front and one 220mm in the back. Suzuki took it to the limit with the ABS Motion Track Brake. It analyses the motion on three axes to work better in the corner entry.
There is a limited edition which will be available soon. It will have a Launch Control a Quickshifter and an ultra light battery. Which one would you buy?
